About the area - Rhandirmwyn

The area of Rhandirmwyn is a haven for wildlife and is a special find for bird watchers, with red kites regularly circling the area. The most tranquil of all our lodge sites, Rhandirmwyn offers a complete relaxation experience in the striking hills of the Towy Valley. Highlights include:

  • Llandovery – the cobbled market square is only seven miles from the site. It has many inns, shops, banks and a supermarket.
  • Dinas Nature Reserve – Just four miles away. You can take the two mile trail through the reserve and along the river Tywi.
  • Llyn Brianne Reservoir – Provides a breathtaking viewpoint which can be enjoyed by all.
  • Gigrin Farm Bird Reserve – A fun day out, the Reserve offers the chance to see red kites, ravens and buzzards being cared for.
  • Elan Valley – Home to some of Britain’s rarest wildlife and plants.
  • Brecon Beacons National Park – Home to some of the most spectacular and diverse landscapes in Europe.
